About This Event

The redundant church of St Brothen's - now in the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches - sits in wonderful isolation. The site was first used by St Brothen in the late sixth century and this charming, late-medieval single-cell building has a gently sloping interior, dominated by its medieval arch-braced roof with cusped wind braces, and the fragmentary, nine-bay oak screen. The church retains two fonts, one with an octagonal, conical oak cover which is late 15th century. The church has connections with David Lloyd George and Clough Williams-Ellis. The church will be open for visitors.
