About This Event
Founded in 1852 and located in the heart of the town of Aberdare in the picturesque Cynon Valley, St Elvan's has recently undergone an extensive £2 million renovation, and has now reopened as a vibrant new space - which is free to visit - featuring concert and conference facilities, an exhibition gallery, heritage tours and talks, an in-house coffee shop Spires with outdoor sun patio and, of course, St Elvan's remains a continued and active place of worship. The regular weekly opening hours for the church, coffee shop and gallery are Monday to Saturday 10am - 4pm. In addition, on 26 September, to celebrate St Elvan's 175, the doors will be opening for a special community celebration. Throughout the day, visitors can expect music, creativity, conversation and opportunities to discover the history and future of this remarkable building.
